Ryan and I have a very exciting work in progress to announce!
We are expecting a new addition to our family! I am 23 weeks pregnant with only 17 weeks to go!
Psalm 139:13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb”. Ryan and I feel incredibly blessed that we have been given the opportunity to be parents and we have been thanking God each and every day. It is so surreal knowing that there is a little life growing inside of me, and we cannot wait to meet our baby!
I have had a very good pregnancy so far as I have not had any of the morning sickness or nausea commonly experienced in the first trimester. I just felt very fatigued, which also explains why we haven’t come up with many original patterns or designs in recent months. Thank you for your patience and continued support. We are currently working on a new original project and needless to say, I am SUPER EXCITED to crochet baby-related items such as blankets, shoes and hats! I’ve already picked out which patterns I would like to use and I will blog about them along the way 🙂 If you have any cute baby crochet patterns that you recommend, please send them my way!
Thus, our recent trip to Tokyo was actually a “babymoon”, or last vacation before baby comes since I am in my second trimester (the big baby bump and fatigue associated with the third trimester would make it difficult to travel)! We had a wonderful time, and I cannot wait to share our photos and experiences with you in the future.
And in case anyone is curious, I purchased this super cute “Work in Progress” pregnancy shirt on-line from the Ravelry store here, and it is very comfortable and stretchy. This would make a great gift for expecting moms who are crocheters or knitters (I knew I had to buy it as soon as I saw it! I purchased it in a “small” size). The countdown blocks in the above photos were gifted to us. It’s been amazing seeing the changes my body has been going through and feeling the baby kick recently. My baby bump has grown quite a bit over the past few weeks, and we are excited for the weeks to come as our baby is due in mid-October! We know there are many changes in store for us, and we are so excited to have you all along this journey with us! Thank you for all the love and support you have shown to Ryan and I 🙂
