Sometimes it can be difficult finding that perfect shade of wool or yarn you are looking for, but I must say that I am completely smitten with a certain colourway. I am a huge fan of the “Salmon” colour by We Are Knitters as it is the most beautiful shade of peachy-pink. They recently launched “The Meriwool” which is their new 100% superwash merino wool, and it currently comes in 10 shades including some fun sprinkle colours. Of course, I opted for the Salmon colour since it is my favourite, and I am delighted to be working with it as it is incredibly soft, light, and luxurious! It does not feel itchy or scratchy at all!
This stunning “Cucho Scarf” was the project that sparked my interest in knitting again at the beginning of the year, and it’s my first completed knitted project as an adult! I am so in love with this scarf and its amazing texture. It’s neat that Super Scarves are all the rage this season since I already made one and can rock it anytime I want! This particular scarf was made using “The Wool” in the colour Salmon- it is much thicker than Meriwool as I used 15 mm knitting needles to knit the Cucho Scarf whereas 5 mm knitting needles are recommended for Meriwool. You can read about my full Cucho Scarf blog post HERE!
One of my proudest accomplishments this year was also knitting my very first sweater! This is my Bahia Sweater knitted using Pima Cotton in “Light Salmon” and “Natural”- I love how you can choose your own colours for any of the We Are Knitters kits. This cotton yarn is a dream to work with and now that cooler weather is upon us, I will start wearing this handknit sweater more with leggings- I really love the length!
Thus, as you can see, I can’t get enough of the colourway “Salmon” by We Are Knitters! I am working on a project using my Meriwool and will blog about it when I’m done! I’m slowly chugging away at it as knitting takes much longer for me, particularly since I am using smaller knitting needles! Stay tuned to see what I’m making, and check out the new Meriwool by We Are Knitters if you’ve been looking for a very soft, high end wool!
