While we were vacationing in San Francisco, we payed the “Exploratorium” a visit. The Exploratorium is the museum of science, art, and human perception, and they had some pretty cool interactive exhibits. We always love going to the gift stores afterwards, and on this occasion, Ryan found a book that piqued his interest. We purchased “The Paper Architect: Fold-It-Yourself Buildings And Structures”, pictured below.
There are twenty templates contained in this book, as well as assembly instructions and notes for each project. Ryan decided that the “Tower Bridge” would be his first project, so we scanned the template and printed it on firm white paper.
We went out and purchased a kit from Walmart that included a craft knife, a cutting mat and a metal-edged ruler.

Isn’t this a cool, intricate new hobby? Ryan was working on this project as I was crocheting. It’s great working beside one another and showing each other our finished products! I look forward to seeing Ryan’s future paper art projects 🙂 He’s very skilled with his hands!
