I wanted to let you know about a neat article that I am featured in! You can spot myself and some of my yarn in Issue 46 of the beautiful Simply Crochet Magazine!
The article is entitled “Yarn Storage Hacks”, and they interviewed several designers and “wool wranglers” for their tips on storing yarn. I talked about how we made these shelf dividers from corrugated plastic and took inspiration from the Lion Brand Yarn Studio when we visited New York City years ago. You can read the full tutorial on how we made our dividers HERE!
Also featured is my friend Sarah of Repeat Crafter Me! She looks so cute in her crocheted hat with all her hooks! Both Sarah and I talked about the need to keep our yarn out of reach of curious little toddler hands and how yarn displays can be beautiful works of art! As I stated in the article, “Yarn is beautiful because it has such gorgeous textures, hues and shapes. When organized and displayed beautifully, it can serve as a colourful piece of artwork!” They also included a picture of me crocheting my “Easy Chunky Crocheted Sweater” at the bottom of this spread!
Currently I have more yarn than what my little shelf with dividers can hold. It would be such a dream to have a whole wall of yarn- maybe in the future! It’s always a pleasure being featured in Simply Crochet Magazine– you can look out for copies of this issue in North America! Once again, you can check out how we made these dividers ourselves in this “DIY Yarn Storage” blog post HERE!
