Ever since starting my blog almost three years ago, I have been meaning to make some business cards. Even though I don’t sell any of my work, I thought it would be nice to have cards to give to people we connect with, directing them to my blog address and all my social media information!
Our wedding photographers “Infused Studios” first introduced us to the company “MOO” when they made some little cards of our engagement session to put on our guestbook table of our wedding! The cards were really cute and were great quality. Then my food blogger friend Lillian of “Beyond Umami” recently ordered some business cards of her own and told me about an upcoming sale they were having. And so, I finally decided to have some made and I am certainly glad that I did!
After placing my order, they took about two weeks to arrive. I was so excited when they arrived in the mail! I ripped open the package and found my business cards packaged in this cute little white box…
Upon removing the lid, I found my 100 “MiniCards”!
I wanted to showcase my original amigurumi designs on my business cards, so I used the photos that Ryan took! We had to take some new photos of our amigurumi in some cases since I had made them before Ryan took up photography (e.g. Chinese New Year Doll, Valentine Teddy, Spring Bunnies, Scarecrow, Link). I chose 13 designs in total!
It’s great because MOO has a special printing option called “Printfinity” where you can upload an unlimited number of designs for your cards (see video HERE)! If you choose only 1 design, then you get 100 of the same design. If you choose two designs, then you get 50 of each. If you choose four designs, you get 25 of each, etc. I love having the variety! In case you don’t want to use your own designs, they have some stock “Moo Designs” you can use that are very nice as well. Check out my “Patterns” page to access the free patterns to all the amigurumi pictured below! I can’t believe I actually have 18 original amigurumi designs- see if you can figure out which ones weren’t included (because they were given away as gifts so we couldn’t rephotograph them)!
On the back of the card I included my blog name, my name (since so many people think my name is “Ami”, haha….it’s Stephanie by the way :D), my blog address, e-mail address and social media information. These cards feel very high quality as they have a good thickness to them, and the photos and text printed beautifully! I love them and I am so excited to be able to give them to people!
A set of 100 MiniCards is normally $19.99, but MOO does have sales periodically (I got mine for 25% off). I added $3.99 to get the rounded corners as I really like the look of it. I also found a code on-line for free shipping, so if you end up placing an order, try and find one too!
I am very happy with my business cards, and if you are interested in having your own made (either for your blog, business or even to show wedding/engagement photos), I would highly recommend “MOO”. Their site was very easy to use and I had no difficulty uploading my photos and designing my cards. They have a special referral program where if I refer people to their site, I get credit to order future cards and you get 10% off your order! Click the link HERE to access this promotion and to be referred by me 🙂 I can’t wait to start carrying these around and sharing them with people! Perhaps one day I’ll attend a blogger or crafty conference and be able to hand them out! Which one of my MOO cards is your favourite?
