It’s been such a blessing watching our two girls grow up and seeing how they have both similarities and differences in terms of their likes, mannerisms and temperaments! Currently Brielle loves picking up any object within her reach, examining it, and usually sticking it in her mouth to give it a good chew. Two little front teeth have popped out recently so she has also been drooling like crazy. I had never heard of teething jewelry when Myla was a baby, but she usually did not chew on items and never ended up liking “Sophie the Giraffe” (the popular teething toy that you’ll see in the hands of many babies). I was intrigued when I first saw some teething necklaces worn by my friends who said that their babies loved them!
Laura of “Art + Soul Creative Co” (my collaborator in “The Lambert Collection”) referred me to her friends Eleanor and Angel, two sisters who had just started a company of beautiful teething jewelry called “LouLou Lollipop” in May 2015. Eleanor started the company because she was always a necklace lover but she had to stop wearing her accessories after having her baby Kinsley. Babies love pulling and grabbing earrings, delicate necklaces and whatever is within their reach! Eleanor thought teething necklaces were a brilliant idea but she didn’t like any of the designs that were on the market. Thus, she decided to create her own and now her and her sister Angel are selling their teething jewelry all around the world through their Etsy store (they now have their own website HERE)!
All of the “LouLou Lollipop” necklaces are designed and handmade locally in Vancouver, British Columbia. They have many contemporary designs for stylish mamas, and the necklaces provide visual and tactile stimulation for babies. The necklaces come with a breakaway safety clasp so that they cannot be broken or pulled off by strong babies. The 100% food grade silicone beads are very soft and great for soothing sore, teething gum and are BPA Free with no phthalates, lead, or PVC’s. The necklaces are washable with soap and water and are dishwasher and freezer safe as well! A chewable and strong teething necklace that can be thrown in the dishwasher? Yes please! Eleanor and Angel asked if I wanted to collaborate with them, and I excitedly agreed! It was really neat because they were gracious enough to let me design my own necklace- they provided me pictures of all their beads and I got to decide what combination I wanted! Putting the beads together in person with these ladies would’ve been a fun activity, but alas- we live in different provinces, so we did it virtually! This proved to be challenging as I tried to cut and paste the pictures of the beads together and imagine how the combination would look in real life. Here’s what my design looked like according to Microsoft Paint haha…
I was so excited to see my design in real life when Eleanor and Angel put the beads together! I wanted to go with a blush pink and gold theme to match my blog colours, and I came up with the “Blush Crush” since blush pink is my favourite colour! I think the overall look is very pretty and elegant as the colours blend harmoniously together. I decided to go with an asymmetrical combination for a different look! Eleanor and Angel have added my design as in their store HERE in case you would like to purchase it!
Their packaging is also super cute as the necklaces come in this adorable drawstring bag!
“LouLou Lollipop” not only offers teething necklaces, but also mama and me sets so that your little ones can match with you too! They were kind enough to send me a matching mama and me set in my design- the beads are the same, but the length of the necklace is different (the necklace lengths are customizable).
Brielle loves pulling on my necklace and the clasp is indeed very strong. In particular, she loves playing with my necklace when she is nursing! This helps her from being too distracted when nursing as she can grab and feel the beads.

Eleanor and Angel also sent me their Coco design which I absolutely love! I’ve gotten so many compliments on these necklaces as I’ve worn them out and about, and people are shocked to find out that they are teething necklaces! Thus, they can definitely be worn even when your babies have grown up and are not teething anymore!
We didn’t get a shot of Brie putting the teething necklace to use during the photoshoot, but here’s a recent action shot! It was getting near Brie’s bedtime at a restaurant and she started chomping on my necklace to soothe! Haha…please ignore the drool stain on the shoulder of my sweater…we definitely have a teething baby!
