Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!!
I was recently reading this article here and something really resonated with me. The article is about stay-at-home moms but I think it can apply to everybody in general. It states the importance of having something of your own. That is, having something outside of motherhood or an outlet outside of the house where you can feel like a contributor, whether that be volunteering at church, taking a night class, or maybe joining a book club. It says to “discover what it is that can give you a small spark of passion and inspiration and devote a little bit of time to it.”
This made me think about how thankful I am to have my passion for crochet. I remember how much joy crocheting and knitting brought me as a child as I would spend countless hours making clothes for my dolls and figuring out how to read patterns. I feel so blessed that I was able to rediscover this love of crochet as an adult and now particularly as a mom. Crocheting is so therapeutic for me and I love being able to relax after a long day with my projects. It is my creative outlet and I am so thankful that I could rediscover this passion and help share this passion with you, my blog readers! I’m sure many of you can relate as we all share this love of creating with our hands, yarn and hooks. I always look forward to blogging, sharing my projects and figuring out the designs swirling in my mind, and I am incredibly thankful that I have the opportunity to be a crochet blogger as well as a mom! I encourage you to continue pursuing what you are passionate about and help others discover their passions too! God bless!
1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
