Ever since I was younger, I’ve had a penchant for collecting watches. I love accessorizing, and watches are a great way to make a statement with a piece that you wear every single day! I always wear a watch when I go out, and if I happen to forget to wear it on an outing, I feel vulnerable as though I’m missing something important!
I was delighted when I was first contacted by the team at Daniel Wellington in December 2014. This Swedish company has really made a name for itself and has built a strong online presence as you’ll see many fashion bloggers and style enthusiasts donning their pieces. Their watches are modern classics with clean, elegant, and minimalist designs. My first Daniel Wellington watch was the “Classic St. Mawes Lady in Rose Gold” and I continue to wear it almost everyday. It matches with everything and I love the beautiful rich colour of the band. This past Christmas, we collaborated again with Daniel Wellington, and I was able to gift matching his and her watches to my parents (see my second post HERE)!
I tried out a sportier look with their “Grace Glasgow” and its trendy blue and white NATO band! All Daniel Wellington straps are interchangeable: thus, you can easily switch a leather band to a NATO band and vice versa to get very different looks. Their watches are so versatile!
Daniel Wellington recently launched a new collection of watches called the “Dapper 34 mm Collection”! Available in silver or rose gold, these watches have sophisticated details such as deep blue hands that really pop, Roman numerals, and a date display. I chose the “Dapper Durham Rose Gold 34 mm” as the rugged and distressed leather is absolutely beautiful!
It’s a lighter brown than the Classic St. Mawes, and the variations in the grain and texture of the leather give the watch plenty of character and a very distinguished look!
I can’t believe Springtime is finally here and we can put away our winter jackets and boots, hurray! Bring on the summer dresses, flats, and tank tops!
I’m always drawn to beautiful and delicate openwork pieces in stores, like this pretty cardigan- perhaps I will design something like this one day 😉
