I recently whipped up some of these chunky newborn beanies as gifts for friends! I think they turned out super cute, and they worked up very quickly! I followed this pattern HERE and added two rounds of slip stitching in the back loops only at the end to give a nice rim.
[In case you’re curious what yarn I used, it is Lion Brand Yarn’s Martha Stewart Alpaca Blend which has since been discontinued- I bought a lot of this yarn when it was on clearance!]
