Hey everyone! You all know how much I love attending craft fairs, checking out handmade goods, and supporting local artisans, so I had to share this beautiful find with you all! Last weekend we attended the Spring Make It show (see my previous posts about this hip urban craft fair HERE and HERE) and it was kind of surreal since during the winter show I was 37 weeks pregnant, and now I was attending with my almost 4 month old and toddler! We browsed through the craft fair quickly and tried to appease Myla with snacks along the way. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces like Loan of Dear Fawn Inc and Dorian of CoutuKitsch as well as some new vendors, such as Emily and Jessie of “Berg and Betts”!
We were immediately drawn to their display as their watches are gorgeous! Upon talking to Emily and Jessie, we found out that their watches are very unique as they are handmade locally (from my hometown in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) using the scrap leather from local designers that would otherwise go to waste. They use these high-end designer leathers to make classy and elegant pieces and I could feel how luxurious the leather was as soon as I tried one of their watches on. They have classic watches that wrap once with gold or silver faces (see HERE) as well as double watches that wrap around twice (see HERE). They also have chained watches that have a beautiful gold chain that accompanies the double watch (see HERE). I purchased the “Chained Watch in Cream” and I absolutely adore it! The leather is really soft, and the cream colour juxtaposed with the gold chain and gold face make this piece beautiful. The way it wraps around my wrist twice is very unique, and the whole piece is such a bold statement with its different layers. I feel like this watch matches my style perfectly, and you’ll be seeing me wear it a lot in the future!
